Barrel came today. Ordered muzzle brake and after further research, bought a Burris scope 2x20 scope. Final update to follow soon.

I call it my DW 24. Twice as much fun as a W12. To the range later this week.

Daniel Baird Wesson ll was firmly against any stainless steel revolvers being made while he was at the helm of DWA. There were no DW SS revolvers made until after his death in 1978, well after production had advanced to the models 14-2 and 15-2 in 1975.

There's a stainless 15 porkchop pistol pac online for $1999 right now. And a 14.

They are mistaken. It’s a nickel plated model 15 which can closely resemble a SS to the uneducated eye.

Not stainless. There are factory nickel porkchops and aftermarket chrome plate. The first stainless Dans were 1983. I'm

Wolf, I hope that you have had time at the range with your new creation by now. How does it shoot?

I was aware Dan Wesson was against stainless steel for his guns. All my DWs are blued. I like my blued DWs a lot and never had the urge to replace them with SS. (EDIT: I have replaced some of the barrel tubes with SS barrels...mostly so I can readily tell factory original and not original barrels.)
Other makes and different calibers handguns that I bought have mostly been SS.
