Back for another question. Currently have a set of DW factory compact/concealment grips on my 15-2. Picked up a new in box set of Pachmayr DW-S small presentation grips with no screw. Any hints for picking one up? Thread pitch, length etc before I drag the Dan to Home Depot and just start trying them all on the hardware aisle...

Thanks!

There is a thread specifically about this ... lemme see if I can find it.

Edit: here is the info you asked for, right from the man;

You are on the right track. Full size grips normally take a 8/32 1-1/2" screw and the shorter grips usually take a 8/32 1-1/4" screw. DW and CZ sell origionals for about 4 bucks each. The local hardware store will sell you a proper screw for about 25 cents. Although the head will be a different style of your choosing. A few small washers can also help adjust depth and prevent the screw head from pulling into the wood or rubber with wear.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

And read this as well: Grip Screw Function.

That pretty much covers it.

Personally, I'm more than happy with the hardware store version.

To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:

if you find one...what's your plan?

If you are doing the hardware store version, The Black phillips head version looks good in the black rubber Packys. The head is also wider than the allen which makes it very fuctional on the rubber.
