Welcome to DWF! I own an earlier "DWE" numbered gun, mine is a PM1-S. THIS will help you with a little more info on the 1911's of that era. For some reason not clear to me, these earlier DW 1911's often do not command the same $$$ as the later/current ones, a good thing because they are great guns that you can get a really nice deal on. I'd think anything at or under $800 on a clean PMGD would be pretty good.
A PM3 went very quickly on Gun Broker recently for just over $500, that was a smoking hot deal!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
