OfflineHey, I got my first revolver and joined to learn more about it. I have alot of gun types (AK's, AR's, Beretta 90 series, Springfield XD's, Glocks, and HK's) but the Dan Wesson 44 mag is my first revolver. I polished it and made grips for it (Tanned Python skin covering a rubber hogue modified to form better to my finger grip - feels like grabbing a live snake
) before even getting it out on the range. (Its a habit...) so my biggest question is where can i find out how to take it apart so i can see the internals? (I like to clean and polish the action. I done this to all my guns before.)

Mike:
He's looking for the large frame info. His gun is a 44.

OfflineThanks guys! I'll post later. I have more questions. I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to many guns but revolvers are a new league for me.
I do have one dumb question. Can someone tell me what Model of Dan Wesson revolver I have and also what's the shortest barrel I can get for it?
I'm hoping to find a 2.5 inch because I already have 10 and 6 inched barrels.

You have a Model 744...and a sweet one at that!
The shortest barrel assembly available is easily found by clicking the "EWK" link in the right side bar of this page. ---->

OfflineFrom the factory, I think 4" was the shortest offered. EWK made some 2.5's, 3's and 4's but I think all are out of stock except some blue 2.5's, double check. Nice gun you grabbed. I have a EWK 2.5 for my 744 and it is a real handful to shoot with full house 44mag loads. Gets attention at the ranges I can tell you, throws a nice fireball.
BTW the model of you gun is a 744 with Vent Heavy 6 and VH-8 barrel assemblies.

OfflineWelcome to the forum. That's a beauty. You are going to really enjoy shooting it. There's a very good tip in that link about reinstalling the trigger assembly.
Just one question...aren't you supposed to go from north to south in the winter???
To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:
if you find one...what's your plan?
