I believe what you speak of is the trigger over travel stop. Some are on the trigger and some on the frame. I believe all have them just different locations.

Yes, it's an overtravel screw, every DW revolver I have, including 722 and 744 has one. The are sometimes integral to the trigger, more commonly in the frame behind the trigger. The screw in the trigger is normally an earlier production indicator.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

So it just stops the trigger from traveling farther than it has to? And the screw on mine is behind the trigger in the frame.....

AND if you are lucky you might even have the "ultra rare" double overtravel set screw!!! like mine:

Oh.. wait thats what happens whe you put a SS triger and hammer (where the trigger already has the set screw) in frame that also has the set screw!

You adjust that setscrew so the trigger stops rearward travel just slightly after the point that the hammer drops.
