I bought my Model 15 new in 1978, and I think I paid $169 for it. 6" basic model, no vent rib or heavy barrel. Does this seem about right, or is my feeble mind getting even more feeble?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My Retail Price List is dated April 1, 1977 and shows the 15-2 standard pistol series as ranging from $197 to $217, dependent upon barrel length. The 6" model listed at $197.00 while the pistol pac, P15-2 was $395.00. Keep in mind this was the Dan Wesson retail price list, a Dealer could have adjusted his margin and made a better deal I'm sure.
Heavy barrel ranged from $217 to $238.25 while the Vent rib was $220.25 to $240. Vent Heavy was $240.00 to $261.75.
The Heavy Vent Rib Pistol Pac was $550.00
Interesting also that Barrels for the 15-2 Series ranged from $52.75 for the 2" standard up to $238.35 for the 15 " VH barrel (included barrel and shroud).
Zebrawood grips were $20.25 and an inlet blank was $8.35. Colored sight blades were 80 cents, pistol pac carrying cases were $33.35 and you could pick up a Dan Wesson Arms "Authorized Dealer" decal for $1.35.
What a Deal !!!
