I recently decided to add to my grip collection. While looking through what I had already, I came across this:
I 'looked through old fliers and paperwork and can't find it. Any ideas what model it belongs to. FYI small frame.

Either hand-made from the block of wood included with early pacs, or just a modified factory grip.

Definitely carved from a conventional target grip ,maybe by a husband for his wife. Lol. The medallion looks like a Palmer gold plastic rather than a Monson brass. The early inlet grip blocks are highly figured walnut so that would be out . Notice that the original dimension of the grip is noticeable around the medallion.

I finally stopped buying grips. They are now selling for double or more than what they were when I started . I have so many they can't be accurately counted. My packs have extras, my boxes have extras and I have drawer after drawer filled with them. Pack breaker Toltec ( since retired) would sell Sacramento , combat , ,and square bottom undercover grips starting for $30 on eBay and no one wanted them. I would buy them all. The early flat tools too. Zebras were $100.
A $5 Pre war S&W Magna grips sells for over $1000 today. A Gen 1 Python grip is almost that much and a Smith Coke grip is $600. DW Zebras will one day be like that . Especially since the original zebrawood species is now protected . Roper grips are also astronomical in value. Reproductions can cost $500. I wish I had bought more L B grips🥺

It all makes sense now. The grip blank, the husband and wife. I did notice that I have to curl my pinky which makes the wife theory plausible. It now goes in the W12 pack along with the original blank. I can always count on you guys, if not for answers, al least for guidance. Thanks again.
