Yes, But...The More I look at that Picture...The More I suspect that Barrel as The Problem..Betting if it was Mine..Dan Wesson would get Contacted...But, No Such Thing...so, Good Luck...Certainly Sours me on Post (Real) Dan Wesson Stuff!!!

I did contact DW and got a response from Keith Lawton. He said the barrel wouldn't cause that sort of a crack. His diagnosis is the same as SCORPIO - a flaw in the casting that finally let go. My situation is different from Andrew1220's in that my barrel did not suffer any damage.

I lack the skills to do the suggested soldering and thread clean-up. Also I lack the bravery to fire the gun after such a repair, wondering if that is the only flaw in the casting.
