Good Afternoon All,

Just thought I would share some news I found out from Genny at DW.  I have a NIB 744-VH10 that I'm getting ready to sell so I thought I would add the VH4, VH6 and VH8 barrels and shrouds since this one is Norwich manufacture.

While placing the order I was asking about getting the round DW logo added to match what I have but that is no longer available. Cry

I think the round DW logo was cool on the shroud its a bummer they don't still do it.

A mix and match 744 pistol pac went for over $3000 with a none factory case on GunBroker... wonder what a NIB 744 with all the barrels will do?  If anyone is interested in this one I should have the barrels and shrouds within 4 weeks so just drop me a PM.

Do you have a layaway program?Laugh               (j/k)

That is a bummer that they don't do the logo any longer...I wonder why? I mean it IS their name, you'd think that would be almost the first thing on the shroud before the caliber.Frown

Maybe it takes a specialized machine & the old one broke.

Funky.

I love Dan Wessons but paying $3000 for a .44 pistol pack is nuts!

Hey Jimbob... I agree 100%... I'm just glad I got my Monson for less than $900.  Although I don't have a case just the gun, shrouds and tool but I can live with that! Cool

I know where a Monsoon blue 44 pistol pack is the has two ported barrels  of 6" & 8" and a 4" barrel IIRC and the two ported  barrels and shrouds looked unfired at a quick look as did the short barrel. The gun didn't have a turn ring and all barrels were partial lug, also the set included a big brass knob looking barrel wrench and the standard feeler gage, IIRC it was $700 on the asking price and I am thinking about buying the darn thing. But it is crazy to pay that for a pistol and I am about to get crazier.  Confused

I thought it was a pretty good price, but the problem is it is just a lot of money for a safe queen, and I have a 15 that is the current queen of the safe next to the S&W M-48 with a LR cylinder from first year of production.

I just bought a S&W 610 no dash 5" 10 mm that has the pinned firring pin on the hammer and is a high polish one of probably 500 or so made from their first run of the series. It is now the house gun and loaded with 155 gr Winchester JHP-ST and a spare moon clip load of Hornady JHP 180 gr as a back up.

Besides I am wanting a Marlin 1894 in 44 magnum to go with my 1894C & 1984M, nothing like having a rifle and pistols of the same caliber. Cool

That 610 sounds like a pretty fine weapon!  High polish and from the first run...mmmmm...mmmmmm!  I have really grown to like the 10mm cartridge.

I understand the purchase decision.  I've passed on a few lately - sadly we just can't buy them all.

At least not in the same month.Laugh

That is a pretty sweet deal Waldo, but a man needs to keep an eye on priorities, so I don't blame ya for not grabbing it immediately & asking questions later.

The comment or signature;

SuperMag, bluing so deep I can see my ancestors’ reflection in it.

That was kind of like the 44 I looked at, sure was pretty. That is whay I hate to shoot the blued guns, so easy to mess up a beautiful finish, kind of the same thing for nickel. Confused

Yeah, I hear ya. That's why I don't want to use my little Colt as a carry gun, it's too purty. I'd rather use a stainless gun for that.Cool   I know, I'm probably just being a big puss about it. 😛
