So back when I first signed up with the forum I submitted my Serial Number. My gun is definitely marked Monson Mass. But I bought the gun in "new" in 1987. Well, I was just looking around and saw that according wikipedia, by 1983 DW had moved to Palmer.
Which means ( I strongly suspect) that my pistol pack sat on the dealers shelf for a rather long while.
The point being, that it may be of interest to include the location of manufacture along with the SN on the registry.
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.
4 Monson Model 15's
1 Palmer FB 15
1 Rossi 357 Model 92 (lever)
1 CZ 75B

Here are the production dates.
- 1971 – 1992 Monson, MA
- 1992 – 1995 Palmer, MA
- 1997 – 2005 Norwich, NY Under Bob Serva
- 2005 – current Norwich, NY CZ owned (these guns will say CZ on them)
My guess is they meant 93 but who knows.
Barrel wrappers are merely a clue to the possible production date. We hope they are close but no way to prove it.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Good stuff Bruce.
I guess info is only as good as the source. Of course, thier list and this are not actually reporting the exact same thing, that is thier list was where the company located and owned by who, while I assume Bruces is where were the guns manufactured.
BTW here is the link:

Note that DWF is already listed as good lik for more information! The wiki is editable by the readers/users of the wiki. So Bruce if you care to share with a larger audience, you might want to post your table and quote your source. You will be even MORE famous!

LB is right on with his timeline, according to what's known so far on the 'ol
…
While trying not to beat the "dumbing-down of America" … "watered-down-history-of America" drum, I must admit that a good majority of the crap you read on the internet today is not factual, but merely the best info (or complete crap, taken as fact) posted by a person at that particular moment in time…in this case, those facts were posted on what is considered to be a prominently factual source…Wikipedia. Seeing that it was posted by human fingers, which always poses the quandry of "lead-finger-error"…bumping one digit when you meant to hit another (resulting in a decade mixup in this case). Sadly, these facts must be updated periodically with true facts, if Wikipedia is to reman a decent source for facts.Otherwise, they will end up as just one of "those sorta consitent" sources of information.
Anyway…
*EDIT* Ok, so re-reading this today, I see that I wrote nuttin' but mindless babble...that's what I get for posting after hitting the sauce. Woops. Sorry about that, guys.
