I have a model 15-2 that I am trying to make a DIY pistol pac for. By the serial # chart, it was made in 1978. The gun came to me without an original grip, does anybody know what the original grip would look like, would it have a DW or a DWA medallion? I am not sure when they went from one medallion to the other. I am not trying to imitate a factory pac, but would like to include one grip that would be original type.
  I do have a fat wood grip with DWA medallion, but I do not know its vintage.

From what I have learned thus far, the DWA medallion should be correct up through around the 1981 era. ÂÂ
As always, other info is always welcomed, but I believe this is correct at this time.

Agreed. I believe your grip would be correct for 78.ÂÂ
