Greetings - I am looking for a police patrol (on-duty) holster for my 715VH 4". I started my LE career carrying a revolver back in 1988. I would like to go back to carrying a revolver in my final years in LE. Any leads (old stock, maker, etc) would be most appreciated.

 I'm thinking a Smith K-frame M19, M66 rig would work. They are almost exactly K-frame sized. As long as you're carrying a barrel shroud with no underlug, that is.Â

Thank. My 715VH has the full underlug. I tried the Safariland 6280, SLS for the S&W L-Frame (Mod 686). Even though the Dan fit snuggly into the holster, the only issue was that the security strap could not fit over the hammer.

I am guessing that the Safariland may be at least partially synthetic in construction? IOW, if that strap is laminate of some sort, you won't get it to stretch. It's possible that a local shoe cobbler could custom cut a strap to fit for you...or, simply relocate the oem snap further forward to reach when carrying the Dan.
