Wow!  That appears to be a very obstructed barrel.  I always wondered since Dans have seperate shrouds how that would all work out if an obstruction occured.  It is rather an ugly scene.  Better for the shooter that the pressure exited there than by blowing the top off the frame.

That is for sure!   Somewhere I have a picture of a smith with out a top.  If I find I will post up!  Yeah he stacked them up had I think 2 in and the thrid came out the side!  I would think after no recoil from the first I would be looking!

I've also seen pictures of either a Smith or Ruger where the cylinder is split in two.  I would certainly like to know the story behind the shroud picture above...

Stacked 2? Then capped off a third? On a .44 Magnum? Do I understand this clearly?

This guy added new depth to the deep end of the Gene Pool!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Boy, I guess!WOW Screwy  "Pop, Pop, BOOM!Cry

I must say though, this is the first actual blow-up I've seen of a DW. I've previously seen pics of barrels stacked full of bullets, but this is the first actual split barrel. The others were .357's, so that's probably the difference.

Here's another thread on the subject...

https://www.danwessonforum.com/?page_id=3/revolvers/kaa-booms-cylinderback-strap-blow-ups/&value=blown%20up&type=1&include=1&search=1&ret=all

Plus, I'll have to dig up some new "blown up pics" I've been saving.Laugh
