I bought this because I thought it was a pretty good deal. $1080 with shipping and tax. Pics looked very good no plum but when it showed up in the sunlight "Barney" I think every 44 magnum frame has turned plum. does not seem to be as big of a problem with .357 mags. There are several other 44's on GB that all have plum. Some sellers say it in listing some hide it or don't say anything in the listing. The seller did not disclose it in the listing I bought! I know buyer beware and I think i'm going to be a stainless steel guy but you even have to look out for that. There is a listing for a stainless steel pack with a 12 inch barrel and it's not. It's a Nitex coated gun. I sent the guy a message and he finally amended the listing. Still there are buyers running it up to $2600.

I guess itâs personal preference, but some people live the Barney look. Â I was not a fan until I got my first one. Â Once I saw it in person I kinda like it now. Â I do prefer stainless over blued tho.

Yeah, indoor pics can hide Barney pretty well. Although, that sunlight pic doesn't look too bad, from what I can see. So for that price, in my opinion, you still made a decent buy. It has a light drag line, which may indicate it has a low round count.

I'm going to sell it maybe but then I bought a 10VH Barrel on ebay (old style not a CZ barrel) for just over $600 at auction. May sell the 8 VH barrel and put the 10VH on it. The one the barney is not to bad I did not even notice it until I looked at the gun in the sunlight.Â
