This is a model w12 made in Monson. Most of the photos show shorter barrels. Is a 5 1/2 inch w12 more rare?
From what I have noticed, I see photos of all three barrel lengths pretty much equally, I don't think one is necessarily more rare than another.
Congrats on your score, it looks like a real beauty!
And I like the s/n, they don't often land on an even number like that. Pretty neat.

That is freaky. My Colt Custom Combat 10 (e nickel Delta Elite built in the custom shop, total of 440 made) is also serial number 400. I will post of photos of both of them when I get a chance.
