Since my near sightedness is getting worse as I age, I've been looking for a solution that allowed me to shoot with my glasses on. Â This my solution so far. Â I haven't shot it yet but I hope I can keep up with the old geezers and their $2000 1911's at the Bulls eye range.
Â
The mount is a Weigand. Â I had several old shrouds, this being my least favorite, I had it tapped. Â The red dot is a Redfield Accelerator.
Â
Can't wait to get to the range.

I've been using a Fastfire on my Buckmark for several years, although I shoot over iron sights about half the time
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Nice looking set-up there. It should serve you well. Great photo and a nice looking revolver.

Finally got to the range.
Three holes in upper right are sighting in, then seven shots. Â
25 yrds from a rest.
I think I've got a keeper. Â Now I just have to learn to do it like that off hand.
nice job.
