I was given a lead to a couple of Supermags. Went to the shop today and found these two just waiting to be purchased. The 375 is in very good shape, probably 97%. I purchased it $350. Sitting next to it was a 90-92% 445 supermag. Both had 8 inch barrels. The 445 was priced at 450 since it came with a second barrel and shroud. The barrel pictured on the gun has some sort of porting as well as a scope mount mounted to the barrel. The other thing is the shroud did not have a space for a front sight. Unfortunately I cannot pick them up for 30 days.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

In ca if a gun is on consignment it has to be held for 30 days before it can be sold. All other types of sales need to wait 10 days. Now I just need to find some brass.

So the spare shroud doesn't have a slot cut for a front sight?  Sounds like the makings of a Hunter pac to me…Drool

Awesome Deal Laugh...  You did very well on your purchase.  The shroud with no sight sounds interesting--looking forward to pics.

I agree, it sounds like it was an original Hunter Pac & that it's only missing the scope & case.

I would say you have a fantastic investment there. DW's are hard to come by in CA and (as I understand it) no more can be shipped in. Something about in CA the gun manufacter has to send in samples so they can be approved by the state. Certainly that isn't happening. So the only ones in CA are those that were there before the law.

To be sure the hot ticket item right now is the "taticool" plastic guns, but I think that is already starting to fade, and we could see the public once again enamoured with our wheel guns ( or maybe not).

Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box

in that order.

You are correct with these can only be puchased if they are in this state already. So the people that have them never sell them. I got lucky with these since the owner passed and the wife came in the sell them. Seems to be the only way to get hard to find guns anymore.
I am interested in hearing more about the hunter pack. What case would it have come in? And did it come with a certain scope or was that left up to the buyer. I would like to hear more about them so I can get this back to original condition.
