It's been since about 1989 since I owned a DW.  Update: I bought this blue DW44Mag with the vent rib, 2 hole /compensated barrel , non fully shrouded.

Well I got another box of ammo this time instead of the Hornady 'leverevelution' 225 FTX polymer tip ( which shoot easy ) the Honrady is about 1,400 at the pipe, and 1,240 50 yards later ( better than muzzle-V of most pistol ammo ).

Well I only have one eye my left eye & bad non dominant eye ( gun fight long story ), i loved the lack of kick and muzzel jump with the HEAVY Dirty Harry sized DW, but I was shooting everything to the left.

Next week  I got some MagTech  semi jack flats in 240g  aka good ol fashioned whopper stopper rounds.   Somewhat reminiscent of the CorBon flat face smashers I use to shoot in 45 LC +P in my  4 5/8in Ruger Black Hawk convertible ( loved that gun )

I have been playing with my practice snap cap dummy rounds just 'luvin up' on the scrisp light trigger pull ( single and double ) at home.

I head out to my favorite 6000ft mountain  top were I spend every weekend in my RV top above the 95 degree valley floor , riding bicycles-motorcycles talking on ham radio  yada yada yada.

I took a couple single action shots with the more traditionally stout feeling MagTechs  ( did I tell You that I like big guns to have a big kick ) and the same 3" to the left thing was going on,  well I only have had a  small frame  Star FireStar .45 auto for the last 15+ years  I had forgot that I need to crank up the windage to one side to make up for the fact that I am holding the gun in my right hand and looking thru my left eye which causes the site picture to be off a degree or so !

I cranked down the horizontal windage  and  SHAZAM  !!!   at 20 yard paced off I shot the exact middle out of a 3"  'Shoot n See' peel n stick target, my next two shot single action two handed, landed barley a half inch bellow the bull !!!!

(  Now time for a sone, a take off from the Irish classic  Oh Danny Boy, lol )

"Oh Danny boy , Your pipes, Your pipes are firing ture & strait for me,  You shoot the bull out of my peel n stick n shoot n see  do do dah dah  dee dee de dumb dee doo de doo doooooooo "

It's an amazing feeling shooting a l-a-r-g-e  silky smooth revolver knowing that everything you point at will be baptized 'holey'  .

Can't wait till the blacktail deer season opennerdrool
