Dan-Wesson-model-14.PNGImage Enlarger

Hello, I have always wanted a DW .357 and I have purchased a model 14 recently and would be very interested to learn some more about my firearm please. I have attached a couple of photos and the serial number is SD019110. I have had one forum member advise it is 1980's gun and also of the issues with pinpointing mfg date etc but I would be interested to know more if possible. Oh and one more question, am I able to use my S&W 686 speedloaders or do I need to source DW versions ?

Thank You

Mike

I was going to go out to the shop and pull my 686-3 out of the safe and try my 15-2 speedloaders in it, but thought; "Hey, he can do the same thing over there, by trying his 686 speadloaders in the 14". Did you try that ?

Hi Singer,

Hey thanks and no I have not because I now have to do the "big wait" for my permit to acquire to be processed by the Police firearms folks, it can take anywhere from 6-12 weeks !!!!  Sometimes quicker but that's just the way it is here in Aus when you own handguns. I was just curious to know before it arrives becsause I plan on using it in service pistol events as soon as I can. No big deal just another surprise for me to look forward to.

Take Care & Thanks again

Mike

HKS 10 speed loader works on my S&W model 10s, my DW 15-2 and my Ruger GP100s. If your M14 takes the same one as the M15 the HKS 10 should work although I don't know what you're using with your 686.

Thanks stonebuster, I have a couple of different speedloaders so I sudpect at least one will work. As soon as I take possesion of the DW I'll let everyone know how I go.

Take Care

Mike
