Anybody ever change out their front and rear sights on a model 715 .357?  I would really like to use the Millet outline sites but it appears they only fit on .41 & .44's.  Will those sights fit on a 715 or can they be modified ?

If anyone has any information here I'd really appreciate it.

the front sights are the same for both the small and large, as well as the rear sights however the rear sights sit up a little higher on the frame than the original rears did, they don't follow the contour of the frame perfectly. I have a Millet on my 6" 715 and love it.

Dan, Questions for you:

When you say large & small, do you mean frame size and is the 715 a small frame?

Could you explain what you mean about the sight sitting too high and the frame contour issue?

Thanks in advance!

marty-your 715 is small frame, calibers larger than .357, and all Supermags are large frame.

White outline Millet rear is my favorite, I have them on several DW's.

BTW-Thanks superdan, now I know why I have a slight POA problem on my 722 with Millet rear, got to keep it cranked down flat

Message- Everyone learns new stuff here

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

this is shoots pic that he put up, if you look at the sight it doesn't sit as low in the frame as the original sight. It is really not a big issue and it is not sitting high by much but it is noticeable (shoots actually sits better than mine)

Steve, if you switch to a slightly higher front sight you can take care of that issue, I am pretty sure the Millet front is about perfect, plus the orange bar just about glows it really stands out.

I have accumulated a variety of DW front sights in different heights, I just haven't gotten around to experimenting with others, I have a Millet front that is fairly tall with white bar

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
