Since I'm feeling chatty tonight I'll throw this out...
I have been reading about Lil' Dan .38 specials on the DWF. I recently saw a picture of a DW 738 box with end label. It looked as if the revolver was offered with a 4" barrel option and perhaps available in blue.
I know there has been previous discussion about the 4" barrels which usually goes something like, "Where are they?" but I have seen nothing about the possibility of a Palmer era .38 in blue.
Can anyone out there confirm either?
As always with the questions...

I was wondering the same. I have three of these all the same, stainless with 2" barrel.

The boxes were made in a big batch, so 4" might have been planned but never produced.
The "Blue Serial Number" is interesting, in that it is in upper and lower case, while all of the designator stuff is all upper case and doesn't say anything about S/N.
