Hello guys, greetings from Portugal!

So it's been a year now since I got my license and bought a 22lr dan wesson and it's a great gun but I've had this recurring problem with light strikes.

I've tried a lot of things like polishing internals, tightening the screw grip a bit etc. But neither worked. I can get them to fire everytime in S/A but D/A will fire maybe once and then light strike all the other ones.

Do you guys think it could be the firing pin? It looks good to me but idk.

I'll atach some pics of the gun ad the casings with light strikes

Thanks for your opinions guys!20230331_224139-2.jpgImage Enlarger

From what I've read on here an over tightened grip screw can cause this malady.

A new main spring wouldn't hurt either.

You should "loosen" the grip screw, not tighten it. Do this and try again. If that works and the grip is wobbly, then add a washer.

Make sure the mainspring seat has not been screwed in more than factory setting. They are staked in the proper place but may have come loose and been screwed in more. If you can move it, it is loose.
