A friend called and told me of a .44 D.W. that was offered on a local seller's board. Well, heck fire if the gun wasn't 97%+ and priced at $375!! I somehow managed to get it O.T.D. for $370 and a little change.
I am picking it up tomorrow.  I've been looking for one for quite a while, but they all seemed to be "up there" so I was in the waiting mode.
Now I'm in the "shooting mode"
More pics to follow when I get this rascal home!

OfflineThanks folks. I will pick it up today...after 10am. I'm fired up. I have several D.W.s...but this will be my first .44 Mag.  My buddy suggested I could part with the couple S&W .44s after a range seeion with this beast! I may just do that.
ÂÂ
Pics on the way.

Well....
ÂÂ
I have been trying to get parts for this new (to me) .44!!!
When cocked, the cylinder flies by (about one in three times cocked) the cylinder stop nontch. The cylinder does not always get stopped by the cylinder stop...it fails to come up to come up to catch the notches in the cylinder.
ÂÂ
So, Friday, I was visiting with the lady out east at D.W....but she got busy and did not get back with me...UGH!
ÂÂ
Actually, the cylinder stop is called a "bolt" (part # 37). It looks as if the previous owner might have had this same problem and then may have "worked" on the spring-loaded pin (in the side of the "bolt")...I'm hoping I will soon have a new "bolt" and then we might just get this revolver to shoot consistantly.
ÂÂ
Let's keep the fingers crossed!!!!

OfflineSHOOT,
A question sir....
When I tried to locate the spring & plunger in the .44 Mag Schematic...all I see is the stop bolt. Any suggestions as how to describe to D.W. Parts Dept. the specific parts I need/desire. I DO want the spring and plunger as it appears the the plunger has been filed down a bit.
If I wanted the "stop bolt", "spring" & "plunger" ( I do want all of these)...how would you communicate this to the person at D.W.??
I was not sure Pricilla understood my desires over the telephone on Friday afternoon.
Thanks in advance.

Keep that schematic for future reference--never know when it will come in handy.
SHOOT
I even have 6 printed paper copies just in case web links or web favorites go down.
Never count on web info to be there forever, that's just my thought.
