Do any of the big name Holster manufactures make holsters for DW any more? All you see on Gunbroker is nylon crap but I don't have the $ for a custom job. Or does anyone know what other model gun you could buy a holster and have it fit. I'd like to carry my 14 with a 2 1/2" barrel on it when the mood hits me or I know I'm going somewhere my J frame might need company.

Galco has a shoulder holster listed here, for 4 & 6" barrel DW Model 15 guns...same thing as Model 14.

I haven't looked elsewhere on the site for belt holsters, but magine they make that style also.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I have pasted a link here for Rusty Sherrick.  He is an affordable custom holster maker and he makes a crossdraw for Dan wesson's.  John Taffin even had one and reviewed it with a good review.  I have one ordered right now.

Most any leather K/L frame holster shold work pretty well.  If it has a retention strap, the strap may or may not fit that well, as the Dan Wesson Hammer is of considerably different shape than that on a Smith.

A little stretching of the strap, or tuck in behind the hammer instead of over usually works.

Just to confirm the strap stretching.  My holster for the smith 29 has been over the years forced to fit the large frame Dan's but took a little stretching.

I bought a discontinued but new Triple K holster made for my 6" DW last night on Gunbroker.  It has a belt loop that functions as a high ride forward cant on the strong side as well as a cross draw.  Cool.
