Good Morning Everyone,

I recently purchased a set of Hogue (Wooden) Grips for my SuperMag.  No screw came with the grips but since I had a few extra thought I was covered.  However it appears that the screw for the Hogue wooden grips needs to be longer than that of the Hogue rubber grips or the standard Dan Wesson grips.

So my question is can anyone give me the screw length so I can try to find one that will work?

Thanks,

Jody

I went to a hardware store for one of mine and got 1/2" longer.  The screw was a std phillips but it's been on for 5 years with no problem.  Just make sure that the grip is tight when the screw is, as too long a screw will bottom out before the grip snugs up.  You might try contacting Hogue for a replacement of the proper length.

I took my dremel and reamed the hole deaper in my wood grips, I looked down in the grip and made the screw stick up in the frame the same length as the factory grips. It works just fine.

Be careful with the grip screw length, if it's just a little too long, it can make the gun have the hairiest of hair triggers. I learned the hard way.

Like I said have it the same length as in the factory grips. as hemiram said the wrong size can cause problems, to long can cause binding problems also.
