OK, so I have owned it for about 2 weeks now.

A couple of things I need help with.

First, Best place for a spring kit? I saw the set on Dan Wesson's site, it was out of stock, but now it's back in stock. Is that is good spring set, or should I be looking for Wolff springs somewhere?

Next, I can handle the tune up, but want to run my issue by you guys first, if I cock my hammer, the cylinder doesn't rotate all the way to the next lock position. I was thinking the little spring behind the hand was maybe weak and not keeping the hand engaged on the cylinder? So maybe a spring kit would take care of the issue. Does that sound right?

Wolff Springs has Dan Wesson springs. I haven't tried them for Dan's but they are super for S&W. On the part about the cylinder not turning, I haven't seen that on my DW's but I didn't have that happen on an old Rossi that belonged to my dad and the spring was not attached properly to the hand. When I resolved that issue, the problem went away. That would suggest to me that it could be some kind of spring issue, as you have surmised.

First, get a Wolff reduced power spring kit online. These old revolvers usually have lots of old grease, dirt buildup, and who knows what from previous owners accumulated in the action, so trying to diagnose a problem before a thorough cleaning and inspection / replacement of worn or damaged parts is a waste of time.

Once you have the spring kit, follow the Average Joe clean & service and reassemble ... then go to the range and report back.
