I may be buying a DW Model 15 revolver with a 4" half or partial under lug barrel. I have a friend that has a full under lug set of barrels available. Is there any difference between guns having partial under lugs and full under lugs barrels ? Are these interchangeable without compromising fitting and operation ?
These are not pork chop barrels.

Hey Cybegrizzly, thanks for joining the forum!
There is no difference in the frame of a DW that has a half under lug (V - Vented) compared to one that has a full under lug (VH - Vented Heavy) . If you compare the barrels they all have the same dimensions where the barrel and frame meet.
I have a 744 that has both VH and V barrels. The only differences are in the appearance of the shroud.

That is the defining character of a Dan Wesson revolver, the ability to mix and match barrels and shrouds, and lengths. With exception of mixing calibers and the pork-chop shrouds on the model 14/15. You gotta love it!
