As I said in another post, I'm going tonight to pick up a DW 15-2, which will be my first revolver. It comes with 6" and 8" barrels. Are 4" available? Or is it one of these things where it has to be hand fitted at the factory? Understand that I'm only familiar with the auto-pistol world where everything is basically drop in.

That is the beauty of the DW. Barrels of the same caliber just change in seconds at your will. No fitting required. Most size and caliber barrel shroud combinations are available from DW, also on the auction sites fairly regularly, and best of all we have a member here (EWK) producing and soon to be released aftermarket barrel and shrouds.

There are almost always 4" BA's (Barrel Assemblies) available on Gun Broker
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
