Hi,
I received a package this afternoon with the replacement springs. I went ahead and disassemblied my .357 using the steps outlined on this site. At least until it got to the point of removing the roll pin holding in the firing pin and spring. It sure seems to be mighty tight and I'm worried about messing up the finish around the hole. Can someone please confirm the size of punch I should be using?

Some of them are stiff--just put some oil on it and let it sit. 1/16" punch is proper size.
You need thave it steady anytime you are using the punch--I suggest removing the cylinder, gives you a better frame to anchor down.

Is it on all Dan Wessons or just mine that the pins are inserted from the left hand side( as holding the gun) I found driving them out from the right was a piece of cake...but I did soak the revolver down in PB blaster for two days before attempting to disassemble it.
