Finally got some pictures of what now exists in real life...we talked about this awhile back. Remember? 
It ended up it has a matte finish on it, of which I don't particularly care for. To be honest, I don't quite like the EH slotted design, but that is just me.
Just have this one I was playing around with, have two guys that may be interested in it, but if they pass it will be available, and if there is any interest I could make some more like this one.

Eric,Looks diffrent but if slots where higher on shroud you could show barrel with stainless liner which would really be neat,should have been blued imo.

The slots seem to defeat the "extra-heavy" concept. JMO.

Good point Walt, believe it not, its been blued! The difference is the matte finish on it, compared to the DW polished, it looks quite different. It was one of those moments where with the playing going on, on a whim I thought, I wonder what a matte shroud would look like. Well, everything can't be a home run.
With Shoot's idea, who would want to mess with the one that carries it?
Looks like there might be competition for that rounded one Jody!

Those slots are growing on me ..... How hard would it be to turn every other one perpendicular? just a thought another look, or a double row (exposed barrel) It would lighten these up somewhat for the female shooters or others that may like the look but can't handle the added weight!

I think having an entire gun with the matted finish would look good. So Eric did you do the bluing in house?
Looks like what you have is similar to the brushed blue that DW put on this one.

I think that one looks pretty darn cool just as it is.
I have a hunch that the 8" with slots probably weighs about the same as a 6" with no slots?
Eric, I may have to put in an order for one of those sometime soon, that thing really looks tough!

Must admit the slots are growing on me, didn't care too much for them at first but I keep coming back to have another look, I think I would like to try one in 4".

Jody, thanks for posting the picture of the matte Dan! Makes a difference when a matte shroud is next to a matte frame. Yes, did the bluing in house on that one.
CF, I didn't weigh it to compare, we're going for looks here aren't we? Can check…if I still have a regular 6" to compare!
DWA, promad, can make changes, but right now limited with the play time, gotta try to get caught up with the existing work that I think will have wider appeal, so I think any changes to this one are off the table for now. However if you would like one of this style, we could probabley work that in as they are only slots. Prolly looking at about $40 for slots option.
You may be seeing it with a bight shiny blued finish on it, there may be a buyer for it that way!
