From the pics it looks like a model 14-2. It is hard to tell at the rear sight, but it looks like it is fixed, which would mean it is not a 15-2 which had adjustable sights.

Yes, a groove in the frame is more like it, the front sight should also then be a black pinned lightly elevated front blade without a colored insert as well.  This was Dan Wesson's answer to a service revolver.

Thanks all for the fast reply's Just out of curiosity what would this revolver be worth, and where can I find parts for it?  barrel, wrench ect. One of the barrels is slightly screwed up on the thread part. Also when I change barrels I have noticed that looking through the gap between the cylinder and the barrel the top is closer than the bottom. Is this normal or is something out of whack?

The 14-2 could be worth somewhere with the extras you have 300 to 450 range I would think!  EWK is your DW parts head quarters, Now for some great grips try LB customs on the right bar also!  The grips you have on it bring good price on febay!

Welcome to DWF. If the gap is uneven on the cylinder side, that is not unusual. DW cylinders are sometimes not square. Is the difference significantly noticeable?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Not really noticeable unless you really look at it. I have however noticed that when you try to use the ejector that the whole cylinder will slide unless you hold it that does not sound normal to me.

If your cylinder is sliding back when you eject, you are missing the cylinder stop. This topic may help:

Seems we're seeing a lot more of this lately, I've had it happen to one of mine.

Pretty fixable.

It all seems to be in tact. I have looked at schematics and have seen all the parts for myself.. maybe the tab is worn down from use more than I know it should be

Possible that the crane is very worn or bent in some way, allowing cylinder to swing out just far enough to allow the cylinder to slide rearward beyond the cylinder stop?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

A pic of the other side a one of what the cylinder is doing would

help to diagnose.
