I am looking for wood grips for my 44 mag 744v there are lots of grips available for 357 mag but 44 mag very few.rnwould like to confirm 357mag grips will not fit 44 mag?

Absolutely correct; they are not interchangeable. Small frame has a square tang; large frame is round. eBay is a good source.

Hogue has many choices in nice aftermarket wood grips. Customization is almost non-existent outside of their many choices. These are Hogues on the 44 and 7445.

I think you are asking will small frame grips fit large frame guns. Absolutely not. Besides the round peg in a square hole, which can be converted, the 44 frame will not fit the inlet area.
