Wooh…

Once you get past that first "oooh, look-at-me" intro lead…then it's suddenly gun…screwytime.

So they check the numbers to see if they…"uh…have any leads to follow, but we don't have any leads to follow". Typical stupid media soundbite stuff.

Next sound-bite; some dumb girl tunring her granddad's 'ol shotgun for cash…then from .046 to .060…no idea what wuz said.confused Sorry.

From 1.00 to 1.28, "Mr. Bruno". Ummm.

Trying to stay calm here….

Mr. Bruno needs to be friggin' SLAPPED!!yell Man, if that isn't a classic example of an older American example of a "useful idiot", I don't know of a kinder way to say this. This is truly disingenuous…ok, more like a real bummer.cry Things like this make me look on the future of our nation (& our nation's survival) very grimly.

I'm not even bringing it this discussion the current generation of 20 something's "useful idiots"… screwy

And at the end Mrs. ("Ms.?") Dow & her whiney (pathetic, completely hurt…gee somene''s smashing my pinky finger right now") uplifted eyebrow…"mock concern for the camera" diatribe just about makes me wanna barf.

I wish there was a law…wait a sec. There probably is, but I bet it's been ignored/shuffled to the back/ then exonerated (like so many others in the past 3~4 decades)…wink

I'm not sure, but I think that they were giving $150 for any handgun.

I would like to do my part to make the streets safe  too, so I will buy any Dan Wessons you have for $150 a piece, and I'll safely lock them away in my safe and I PROMISE not to shoot anybody with them! Just send them up here to PA.

I think those politicians in NJ are a bunch of jackwagon

Can't say I agree with you....

If the don't want them, isn't it better that the guns are done away with, than their kids/grandkids/burglars get hold of there weapons and som accident happen...?

You americans surely disagree with me on this one, since it is a "egg/hen" situation, but the more guns there is amongs the public, the more guns there is in the wrong hand, and the more you have to arm yourself.

Here in Norway there isn't much weapons among the public, guns are not allowed for personal protectio, hell the police aren't even armed(except on special occasions and if the suspect is persumed armed which rarely happens)

BUT, it would be better if they would sell these weapons to people like us that wanted them.

The buy back have never taken guns off the streets it has just taken those that are airloams (sp) out the houses of stupid Americans trying to make a buck.  I didn't see any Gang Bangers selling these.  Melt them down sounds like England or the Aussies.  Dw could have brought them in some nice money into a city that is bust like most are..  Sell them out right with back ground checks and wow you filled the coffers.

This too pisses me off we have gotten guns from friends whom didn't want them around anymore or don't like guns, i have offered to pay for them and they have never wanted money "just get it out of here it scares me".  Had a lady friend who's dad died I told her later on as you go the house if you find any guns let me know.  She told me daddy would never have a gun. Found a 22 rifle and .380 pistol, the latter is his suit coat pocket....

Yes  to all of you if you have scary firearms around send them to Kansas, we have room in our safes for all.

as said jackwagon

What more would you expect from Bloomberg's neighbor!

As Dave stated if the would turn around and sell them to legal gun owners they could certainly bring in some money.  Run it like a business but I'm sure they are incapable of doing that!

Eric, totally agree...what a waste yell

I'm sure there was the occasional heirloom or collectible but I also saw alot of beatup

single shot shotguns and cheap hand guns. At $100 for long guns and $200 for

hand guns alot of what they are going to get is closet monsters that would have

only brought $50 sold privately. Most of the these guys trading in were taking

advantage of the situation and unloading their junk.

This is a prime example of wasted time and tax payer money !

Great post CF, you typed what I was thinking, but didn't have time to do! laugh

Another interesting video I saw, is there were some guys in Detroit trying to buy guns from people out in the parking lot before they took them into the police. Ended up the police harassed them and told them to get off the private property. (Church)

I had no idea Churches were into this thing. Why a Church would be involved in something like that is beyond me too. That really upset me. A real Church is sopposed to be changing peoples hearts so they avoid doing evil things.

We should keep an eye on the crime rate.

Exactly!  I am willing to bet the crime rate will not drop .00001 percent.  My guess, it will go up, as there are now several more unarmed NJ moron's.

Razorback, I see your point of view.  However keep in mind that it was firearms that won this country's freedom and as a result have become part of our national culture.  IIRC, when the "wall came down", a top level Soviet official stated that the USSR had been unwilling to invade the US because of all the American gun owners.  Remember, firearms are just a tool.  A criminal is still a criminal, weather armed not, they typically care not of the laws.  So long as firearms exist somewhere in the world, criminals will find and use them.  One need look no further than Mexico as an example of this.  A regular citizen of Mexico cannot own a firearm.   Yet the drug runners are well armd and have taken over parts of Mexico, to a point where the Mexican police and army stay away.  I think if the average Mexican citizen were allowed to own firearms then the drug runners wouldn't have near the power they currently have.  The Mexican president is a moron if he truly thinks the automatic weapons that have been flooding into his country have been coming from the U.S.  Such firearms require special permission to obtain in the U.S. and are very expensive.

I agree. More & more, I hear of churches who have a certain amount of political rhetoric in their weekly sermons & meetings. Jeremiah Wright is an admittedly extreme example, but there are other lesser known ones out there. At some churches, it seems that lessons on religion are taking a back seat to venting political opinions.

Turning in "evil guns" to the proper authorities is more than likely the result of an anti-gunner's sermon at that church. Just a guess.

BTW, I got carried away in my post above.embarassed The more I replayed that video, the more heated I got...I should have probably only played it once & simply written a "what the heck is happening to this country" post.lol2

Wayne...best post yet.worship

I may also add one of the 1941 attacker's thoughts, Fleet Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto..."If Japan were to ever invade the United States, we would find a rifle behind every blade of grass"

Although...

If Japan were to attack today, they would probably find one rife/handgun behind every fifth blade of grass.embarassed Pathetic.

However...

There's aways HOPE. hehelaugh (this video clip from Jody's neighborhood...) Dang, that looks fun!  mini-gun

Razorback, we proud Americans (not to be confuzed with the stupid "easily swayed" & stupified American sheeple) have one thing in common...we protect the rights that were given in blood & sweat from our forefathers. We relate & acknowledge their struggles (if only mildly) & have the fortitude to carry on.

BTW, Mr. Yamamoto also said later (assuming thefreakin' WwW is correct)…

A military man can scarcely pride himself on having "smitten a sleeping

enemy"; it is more a matter of shame, simply, for the one smitten.

This man spoke volumes in that sentence, IMHO. It's a statement that most of us can & probably will identify with, even today.

CF,

What's funny about your video post is that shoot occurred at my range outside Roanoke, VA not WV.

Here is another video that shows the same storage container.

@ DWA_Midwest

I completely agree with you.  If anybody wants to send their unwanted DW's to Kansas, you and I can split them!  Seeing videos like this just makes me sick and I'm glad we don't have to deal with that kind of nonsense here in the midwest.

They had those buybacks in Orlando years ago sponsored by a local radio station, and they actually arrested a buyer in the parking lot for dealing in firearms w/o a permit, they also tried to add dealing in proximity to children as they had local school cheerleaders for entertainment.  The anouncer described some amazing weapons turned in, mostly as said above junk, but one was a .50 Desert eagle and a DW 445SM, which he described as gangster guns that would have killed many innocents.  Thank God they ran the numbers and actually 4 of the guns got returned to the rightful owners, oh yeah, this was an amnesty area(no questions asked).
