A nice hello to all of you in America!
I am from Europe and as Dan Wesson revolvers are pretty rare here I have
a few questions.
A gunsmith offered a Dan Wesson revolver model 715FB .357mgn with a 4'' barrel in a pretty good condition to me for about 375$, which is really cheap here, cause weapon prices (all prices) tend to be much higher than in the US.
It looks good, no scratches, perfect stainless steel finish and the barrel looks fine.
Now my question: Can I expect the same accuracy as in the changeable barrel version and are all other parts the same? Or is it a cheapo version, which you wouldn't buy?
I don't know yet, how it shoots, but I will try it on Monday
Thank's a lot for your answers
Sandman
Hey Sandman,
If I found one in the US for $375 (USD) in that condition I would pick it up. I have 2 model 15's but haven't come across a good deal on a 715 yet. What country are you located in?
I would think accuracy would be the same since the guns are basically the same. If I'm not mistaken the only different is the fixed barrel model is a barrel nut that can not be removed.
Let us know what you decide on the 715 and if you get it post some pictures.
Good Luck, Jody
Hello Jody,
Thank you for your answer. As there are only few informations about the fixed barrels and everyone praises the changable version I was afraid this beauty would be a bad one.
Here is a picture of it (hope it works):

It has a Hogue Grip and adjustable sights. As far as I can remember the serial number is 000062XX (XX=Numbers I can't remember) . 375$ is really, really cheap here. A similar looking S&W 686 .357 (stainless steel, Pachmayr grip, 4'') in a similar condition would cost about 750$ here (same gunsmith) and would be considered as fair priced!
By the way: I live in Austria
Bye, Sandman
