I have been looking at a DW 357 Super Mag 8" barrel with original box , no tools or extra barrel. Made in Monson Mass. Original grips. Serial number E0046xx. Anyone know year of manufacture? The gun is in very good condition . Ideas on ballpark value?

I managed to pick up a 740 last year for $1000 CDN, I jumped on it. Came with almost everything from original purchase.

Zedbra, I also happened to pick up one just like yours for the same price last year. The last few sold though have been in the 1500 range. Whether blue or stainless, the last year prices are the last we will see of them. That was the last great value in a fabulous, never to be made again firearm. 2 years ago model 40s could be had for 750. Both 740 and 40 have almost doubled in price since then.

I gauge value by the smiles it puts on my face when I shoot it. 😉 I'll never sell it, but I do like to know what they are worth in the market, so thanks for the info. I have MAX brass, but need new dies to reload them - looking forward to the bigger bang.
