[Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found] UPDATED ADDED PHOTOS…..I have two DW 22 revolvers and just recently noticed the one revolver has the last 3 digits of it's serial number stamped on the shroud,cyl, and crane, I checked my other DW's 22/ 357/44 mag. none of them have the serial number(last 3#) stamped on any of their parts ,,,,,,,,,,,I'm curious if this is something someone done prior to me obtaining the revolver or did DW stamp the main parts at one time……it's a monson serial#265xx,,,Dave

I think that is how we all started took a bit and few steps though it works well.

At a guess, I think an owner did this at some point in time. Do the numbers look like the same roll marking that is on the frame, or do they look as though they were struck with one of those hammer struck number die sets?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I would bet that that's the deal. Someone has "specially" marked them in the case of theft. Or one of the other X-amount of other crazy reasons there are for doing that.
