Greetings, new to the site my 1st. post. Thanks in advance for any help. I have a chance or the misfortune to purchase a DW 15 2 8" Barrel. It has a problem though, dry firing everything works fine. When loaded and firing it will not fire a complete cylinder without a problem. Hammer will get locked forward or the trigger will get locked in the forward position and sometimes the cylinder will spin freely in the closed position. Seller says a timing issue? or ? The gun has overall scratches, no barrel tool or gauges and it has aftermarket wood grips. Asking price is $400. Should I run from it or try to buy cheaper? Estimate to fix? I know this is almost impossible to give an answer to without seeing the gun. Any input at all will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your time in any reply.

I would look for a different revolver.  Shipping to DW for repair and just labor no parts 165.00 roughly.  You will most likely have over 600.00 in it, you can buy a nice 15-2 on GB for that.  Please stop by New Members and introduce yourself if you would.

Unless you can get it as a "parts gun" for $250 ish, I'd walk away.  Unless you like that sort of thing....

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

This. Sounds like some parts are worn/broken. I’d look for another one.

I'd pass, there are so many nice 15-2's on the market, I'd look for a better gun.

I second Ron's opinion. I have bunches of parts and if I could buy it for 250 I would have a 400 gun and about break even maybe. Lots of nice barely used Dans for between 500 and 600 on Gunbroker.
