OfflineHello from a newbie. I'm thrilled to have found this forum.
I just picked up my fourth DW this afternoon. It's a model 15-2, with both 4" (vented) and 6" (vented heavy) barrels.
But wait, there's more!
What I was not expecting was that the revolver came with an extra set of (Hogue rubber) grips, a box of ammo and a wrench from EWK. I was just getting ready to buy an EWK wrench separately, so both it and the ammo were just gravy on top of a deal that I was already happy with!
This gives me barrels in 2.5", 4", 6" and 8". And I'm loving it.

OfflineSmiths are sweet, Colts can be beautiful but why does my pulse quicken and my eyes widen when I look at a Dan? Is it the design, fit, utility, or concept. I barely even look at another brand of revolver and when I do, I decide that for the money I could have another Dan. If I wasn't such a Dan nut I think I would like Rugers more.

OfflineHere's the collection (I don't claim to be much of a photographer). The new one is second from the bottom, wearing the 6" bbl. The 4" bbl. is right underneath (obviously). On top is a .357 Max. SuperMag. On the bottom is a model 14. All are Monson made.
Now, here's a really dumb question. What is DWAS?

OfflineOh, yes. I definitely have DWAS.
I was a bit suspicious when I bought my first one several years ago, but the more I've shot it the better I've liked it.
Then I found the SuperMag in the box with the extra barrel for under $400 (about two years back). I sold an unfired Ruger SRM, bought the DW, and had money left over to buy another revolver. Once I shot a deer with the SuperMag, there's been no looking back.
As I found myself more drawn to DWs and less to Smiths and Colts, I thought I was just weird. I've never met anybody else who likes 'em, and when I'd pull out my DW revolvers, the other shooters would look at me like I had the pox or something. So it's come as a nice surprise to discover this forum.
Finding a good DW revolver is like finding a Lincoln priced like a Ford Focus. Now that I know how well they shoot--and how they can be adapted--they're just too good to pass up.

That's funny!
Well, you have a good collection going so far, thanks for showing them off!
We always like to see new DW pics around here.
Your latest 15-2 appears to be an early one, with the non-colored pinned front sights. It's cool that both barrels match the appropriate era of the gun.
