Does anyone know if the standard DW medallion will fit in High Standard Sentinel walnut grips. Is the diameter of the sentinel the same as on the DW? Here's a picture of the grips I'm planning to get for my 15-2grips4.jpg

I don't believe they are the same size. The DW medallion is larger. You could buy a DW grip on eBay and a HS on Gunbroker. Lol

Having an orphaned High Standard without a HS grip it's painful to think of a HS grip being cannabilized to make a  DW grip.  Way more DW grips available than HS. Then again there have been plenty of these revolvers broken down and sold piece meal in the past.

I like this particular grip/stock for a 15-2 with 2.5" barrel. The checkering on the sides goes higher than the DW and also I like that it's checkered or whatever you call the carved parallel grooves on the back of the grip...as far as checkering on the back I did not see any DW with that feature.

I'm not going to cannibalize anything, it's a drop in replacement and I'm fine with not having the DW medallion on it, but I was asking if the size would have been the same, I do have an extra set of DW medallions and I would have replaced the HS....anyway I like the grip the best and I think it will look good on my gun...grips.jpg

Yup, nice grip for CC,. I got along for almost two years using a DW shroud on the HS.  Works fine but something anout it just felt "not whole" to me.  One day I stumbled upo. a HS shroud.  Was even the correct model.  I have seen the grip you like in the DW varient.  Maybe the checkering was slightly different. Be watchful and you will probably find one at some point in your future.

I think I found a DW one that will fit the bill. So after-all I will not be using the HS Sentinel even-thou it is a nice sweet grip. I will be installing my DW medallions on this one and I think it will be just as good but all DW correct.

The Undercover grip is more appropriate for the 21/2" barrel.

IMO this one is better as it has the round profile opposed to the squared off HS grip.

Nice find  to go with your DW medallions.
