Hey there! I am new to this site and have a hopefully quick question for someone on here! I have the opportunity to purchase a Dan Wesson .357 CTG....4 inch barrel, stainless, vented barrel, adjustable sites, with poly grip.........I am going to try and post a photo......but I was wondering what any of you might think this gun is worth???? They also have it in the original box with some kind of tool with it!
Any help would be GREAT!! Thank You
SAM PS...trying to get a photo posted...but have no idea how to?!?!?!

The little green tree in the toolbar of your reply box is how you post pics. However, then must be hosted & attached from a pic site, like Photobucket or equivalent.
I think if you can get it for $300, you'll have a good deal. $400 would be about an average deal & for $500, it should be almost flawless.
But wait for other opinions, because I suck at it. LOL!
Welcome to the forum!
I think if you can find a model 715 (Stainless 357) for less than $500 you are doing good. If the gun is in excellent shape and made in Monson, MA then you might even be able to add a little to that price. Keep in mind if you were to get one of these off an online auction you would have an additional $50+ in shipping and fees.
If you need me to post the picture for you then send it to files@danwessonforum.com
Hope this helps!

DW's are escalating in cost (value?) pretty quickly recently, and a 715 V (VH?) 4" is pretty much in the sweet spot for available Dan Wesson revolvers. Original box helps for eventual resale value, and you need the barrel tool.
Basic firearms purchase rules apply: If it looks good, functions well, and you want it and can afford it, do it. Unless the cost is ridiculous (use Gun Broker to establish your high side value) you probably will be pretty happy
And BTW, Welcome to DWF

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
