Hi does anyone know a little about this revolver it has a 8 inch barrell i was wondering what it is worth and what it is like to shoot and how much it weighs.I am interested in the trigger pull and can you adjust the trigger. Is it double action and is it tapped for a base mount for a scope.I am looking at one but i have only smiths to compare and i was wondering if its similar to the 17-3 models.Any info would help.

Littlemoose-

Welcome to DWF. When you get a chance, please stop my New Members at the top of DWF and tell us more about yourself.

If you are talking about a 722M, that would be a .22 Magnum, if so a pretty desireable item. An 8" 722 or 722M would wiegh about 54 oz, with more info here:

https://www.danwessonforum.com/?page_id=31

SA and DA trigger on DW's generally very good, and the trigger should be adjustable for overtravel

Much info here if you surf the topics for a while

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome Littlemoose.

If you buy a Dan Wesson, it won't be long before you buy another, and then DWAS will bite you and your bank account will disappear.Laugh

GoodLuck

Welcome Littlemoose.  As stated above, you can't have just one DW, so buy it and then another quickly

Hey littlemoose, welcome and go get that Dan Wesson. You won't regret it. I also have a couple Smith 617's, and I prefer the Dan any day.

Any excuse to get out to the range. Range Time

I already had my 722-VH10 when I found a S&W 617. I like .22's, but the main reason I bought it was because it had a nice set of factory grips on it. My other 617, an 8 3/8" one, I bought to help a friend out.
