Is the color a sprayed lacquer on the barrel tube or a heat treated process. Can some one post just a colorful barrel tube , I would like to see the color from end to end. Thanks.

I think that's SMF, CF, or Scorpio's gun- laser coloring is the finish. The thin oxide layer reflects white light causing the different colors.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I have a couple of these, 8-inch for a model 40/740. However, the laser coloring on mine is all blue. They were the last of DW's stock. They didn't have any more of the multi-colored ones.

Thats SMF's gun, not mine. My 414 has that barrel but its an SRS gun with fluted shroud.  I'd love to get more barrels and a cylinder done this way but I don't know of anyone doing this.  Would be cool though.
