I have a model 15 with a pinned front sight 6 inch standard shroud no allen in front of shroud. If I order a optic from EWK will it fit and can I drill out the optic myself or do I need a smith to do so? thanks guys would like some input.

The sight will fit but you will need a drill press to drill it. You can't do it with a hand-held drill. After you take off the original sight, put the new one in the slot and carefully mark the sight through the roll pin hole. Drill it, deburr it, and pin it on. That's all a gunsmith will do.
