So what model is this barrel for? I was thinking 15-2 but it does not have interchangeable front sight apertures. It is a 6 inch barrel assembly..Thanks

From what I can see, that is an early (1975-ish) 15-2 barrel shroud. The first few months had hard sights (non interchangeable) with no colored inserts. A few months later came the interchangeable color front sights. The blank ones are not often found & are highly sought after for a guy with an early 15-2 guy trying to build a Pac. smile

Thanks, but I missed out on it, it is gone now..Darnmit

Have another question, anyone ever see a Pork Chop smoothbore style barrel. It appears to be a smoothbore or completely shot out. Completely shot out seems unlikely though. Did they make a smoothbore for shotshell rounds? i have searched and came up with nothing indicating they ever did though.

Maybe someone wanted a smooth Bore and lapped the rifling out?

No smoothbores, but a new barrel isn't difficult to resource.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

My 357 came with such a barrel.  I had to have a red insert and had a gunsmith cut one into the sight.  He did a nice job but it is one of the many things I regret.
