hey guys i need some technical help my dads 44v serial number 005357 has a problem with the barrel to cylinder gap.the left side gap measures 3 and the right side measures 6.he has sent it to 2 gunsmiths and they said they couldnt fix it and sent it back to dan wesson twice way back when and they said there was nothing wrong.he has only shot 500 rds thru it because of this and put in the closet i read a web page that said certain ones had this problem and was easily corrected but no info as to how to fix it any ideas?is the barrel not sqaure or the frame threaded crooked any help will be appreciated

rotate the barrel 180 degrees and see if the measurements are still off the same amount--if they are still off, you can probably just take a few thou off the back of the barrel to square it up.
