OK, this pistol is on it's second bid cycle so I don't feel like I'm upsetting anyone's apple cart...

I am not the brightest bulb in the box at times, but I understood the Norwich operation relied on CNC equipment which eliminated the investment cast frames...and I assumed that also meant the elimination of Barney.

This is a Norwich 15 first issue. Here are a couple of pictures...please share with me your thoughts about what's going on.

Thanks.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

There is a  model 40 First Issue on GB now that has Barney frame, trigger group and cylinder. All that is needed is a Barney shroud and you would have an all purple gun. I think that investment cast frames still need milling whether done on a CNC machine or conventional machinery. There is just less to do. I too thought  that Norwalk used forge frames finished on CNC machines but I now think I was wrong. Still, that does not explain the cylinder. I have also read that it is caused by depleted blueing salts. I do know I don't know.
