Today I saw a Model 15 (Serial 26xxxx) Monson made in 4" standard partial under lug and I am planning to buy it. Question: Are shrouds & barrels matched from the factory or can I get a 4" full under lug shroud and slip it into the existing 4" barrel without any problems ?
A friend of mine has in good to excellent condition a set of 4 barrels w/shrouds and the dissassembly kit for $275 (2-8" barrels, 1-6" barrel and 1-2" barrel), all in standard blue. I think it is a good buy even though they are not the full under lug shrouds that I want. That is the reason for my question above. Planning to buy the shrouds separately.

You can use any shroud with any barrel of the same length. If you have an extra 8″ barrel and shroud I would be interested. $275 is a very good price so I would jump on it.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunatelly I am not located in USA, I am in Panama (Central America). I made an offer for the Model 15 and I am waiting for he response. Once I get my hands on the gun I will talk to my friend to get the barrels that he is not using.
Sorry I cannot help you with the 8" barrel.
