Looking for DW knowledge & wisdom, does a 7445 Super Mag that is compensated require a different/specific barrel tool? It looks like the barrel nut is the same as non-compensated, but the barrel nut appears to be deeper within the shroud. It seems like a special tool is needed to reach deeper within the shroud. Any help appreciated! See pic for example I got from an older thread on this site.

Yes, there is a Dan Wesson factory tool for a compensated barrel. It fits inside and tightens the nut. DW factory should sell them or eBay sometimes has one for sale.
