Offlinewondering, has anyone had the slightest problems getting spent shells to "drop" from thecylinder? if so how was that taken care of even if the problem is just with a couple of them?

OfflineIf I understand the question. Yes. Fired cases don't necessarily "drop"out of the cylinder, however they should not be stuck either. Stuck cases might be a dirty cylinder or could be too hot of a load. If fired cases eject with light pressure on the ejector their shouldn't be a problem. Remember it is best to always have the muzzle pointing up when ejecting cases to lessen the likelihood of a case slipping past the star. Others smarter than I will be along shortly.

OfflineA dirty cylinder could definitely cause this problem. Whoever had the gun before you might have shot a lot of .44 Spl rounds through it, so the first thing to do is give each chamber a good scrubbing with a .45 caliber (or slightly larger) brass brush & plenty of bore cleaner.
Also, make sure your chambers are dry & free of oil when you go shooting.
