Has anyone ever seen a 357 SM with a blue barrel? All of the ones I have ever seen have had a SS barrel installed. I happen to have a blue one in 8", and was wondering if it is original, I tried rubbing on it with brake cleaner, and it had no effect on the bluing.
Anyway-- I was thinking that as nice as a 40 looks with a SS barrel installed, a 740 with a blue barrel would look equally nice.
Anybody with a 740 interested in a swap ?

I'm pretty sure that most of the standard non-slotted blue shrouds came with blued barrels, but that's just an assumption...I could easily be wrong on that.
I agree that a blued barrel peeking through a stainless slotted shroud would look

I agree that a blue barrel peaking through a stainless shroud would look cool and jaggman's PhotoShop skills have proven it. It was an option I was considering when trying to match up the appearance of my 3 SuperMags.
Go for it, and then post some .

Yeah, I just entered a bid of $35.70 to keep the faith and see where it would go. My next bid would have been $71.40. Gotta keep some varient of 357 in there somewhere.
